Drove down A91 to Yetts O Muckhart, over A823 to Gleneagles, then took the Sherrifmuir road back [map].
Wasn’t much to be seen, although the sky was good later
with much of the old Sun-Beaming-Through-Clouds
and Faraway-Rain-Shower
type stuff. Also found a mysterious reinforced concrete construction
about 6 foot wide and high, maybe 100 feet long and resembling nothing so much as beachhead anti-tank fortifications, which is strange as don’t think tanks were really an issue the last time there was any fighting round that area.. further along there was a bunker type thing of the same type of build, concrete poured into corrugated iron frames by the looks of the rippled surface of the walls.
Judging by the height of the corridors (4 foot or so) I’d guess that whatever it was, it would probably have been manned (?) by trolls (or do I mean orcs? can never remember which one is real and which made up) or some sort of sheep/man centaur-like hybrid thing.
Also a pic still in the camera from the weekend, the perfect solution to the age old problem of beers going slushy after being left a bit too long in the freezer (the fridge taking far longer to cool them than any reasonable person should be prepared to wait).
